1966 THE YEAR OF THE HORSE is the author's autobiography of his Vietnam military experience from his induction to his honorable discharge from the Army. It is his story and the story of the men that he served with. It is descriptive of the hardships and horrors that they endured in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam. It was 1966, the Chinese Year of the Horse, and the horse was the symbol of the 1st Air Cavalry Division. The time line includes Operation Thayer I, Irving, Thayer II, and Pershing.
